Linda Shiue, MD, is an internal medicine physician, chef, director of culinary medicine at Kaiser Permanente San Francisco, and author of the cookbook, Spicebox Kitchen: Eat Well and Be Healthy with Globally Inspired, Vegetable-Forward Recipes. Dr. Shiue is Clinical Associate Professor at the Kaiser Permanente Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine, former faculty at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and Stanford University, and serves as a board member of the Teaching Kitchen Collaborative, the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank, and Meals on Wheels of San Francisco. She is a graduate of Brown University, San Francisco Cooking School, and the University of California at San Francisco. She also holds a certificate in plant-based nutrition from Cornell University, and previously worked in the kitchens of Mourad, a Michelin-starred restaurant in San Francisco.
