Luke Black Elk (Tetowan Lakota, Itazipco Band) is a renowned chef, food sovereignty activist, and teacher of traditional plant uses, gardening, food preservation, and foraging. He sits on the board of Makoce Ikikcupi, a reparative justice project on Dakota lands in Minnesota. Luke currently serves as the farm director at Hohwozu Otunwe, “The Village of Vibrant Growth,” which is a 16-acre organic farm in southern Minnesota.
