Rachel Fisher, MS, MPH, RD is a senior advisor in the Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (ODPHP) in the United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). In this role, she advises agency and departmental officials on current physical activity and nutrition science to inform policies and programs related to health promotion and disease prevention. Currently, Rachel co-leads an HHS Food is Medicine initiative to unify and advance collective action. She also serves as a senior advisor to the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness & Nutrition and works with members to educate, engage, and empower all Americans to adopt a healthy lifestyle. Prior to her work at ODPHP, Rachel spent almost 15 years in the Office of Nutrition Research at the National Institutes of Health. (Rockville, MD)
